November

Water is pretty straightforward in November, I keep the irrigation going but will use the hose to supplement the young carrots if its dry. There is usually still some rain happening so its not much of an issue.

Nothing is ready for harvest yet but you can pull broccoli leaves for greens if you want, just don’t over-do it.

In November, I am mostly keeping weeds out of my carrots. If I get some rain, I’ll do some weed burning.

Pests are usually just concentrated on my broccoli plants, and these can be cabbage worms, aphids, or other leaf munchers. I go out every now and then and turn leaves over and hand-squish any offenders.

Prepping for winter means making sure things are mulched, the compost bins are situated, my worm farm is taken care of and I have a plan for moving anything and pruning anything that needs it when things are dormant.

Come Say Hey

Reach out on social media and I’ll do my best to stop and say hey!
