I had a close call with my broccoli starts: They had been started in soil blocks and kept under a grow light indoors. Well, as I began to put them outside to get actual sunlight, one day I left them out and it rained. All of my 48 started plants started “melting” so I threw them in the ground and hoped for the best. So far so good. Luckily I had dug all my sweet potatoes, which were in the bed before the broccoli.
