Monthly Summary
April showers keep things watered well, so its easy to get complacent and push it out of your mind. If you are watering by hand, don’t let the rain get you out of habit.
Some things that I typically harvest in April might be snap peas of early potatoes, depending on when these got planted.
Maintenance in April is tough since you spend a lot of time planning and planting but weeds will start popping up so make some time.
Pests don’t tend to be a problem this early, but I can have some aphids on my peas. I typically use neem oil for these but I also have plenty of ladybugs that help take care of things.
Prep work is big in April since things are going in the ground. Its important to plan out your spacing for companion plants to make sure you get all you need in the ground
